Hey Everybody, it's

Fall.

I've been sensing it in the air for a few days now, especially in the early mornings, when it's still dark out and I'm sipping hot coffee on my back porch. That cool, brisk, sensation that makes my arm hairs stand up. Fall, while not here yet, is making it's presence known.

Fall might be my favorite season, it's when jeans and sweaters start running rampant, I can start smoking my apple wood tobacco pipe, and savory, cold-weather foods start to sound good. Chili with red pepper cornbread, Toscana soup with fresh foccacia, chorizo & egg kolaches, not to mention the hundreds of pasta dishes that only seem to work when there's a nip in the air.

Also, and this may be just me, but there are certain songs & albums that I prefer to listen to in the colder months. Latter day R.E.M. albums, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, anything that I have on Vinyl, That Shins song from the Garden State soundtrack, actually the whole Garden State Soundtrack, Sufjan Stevens, etc. Anyways, here's a sample of what I'm talking about. It may sound familiar to you if you ever saw the Project Greenlight film The Battle of Shaker Heights, as it's the song that plays over the closing credits. I hope you dig it.
